Randi Bass joined the DC News Now team as a reporter and anchor in June 2019. She’s a Montgomery County native who’s excited to be back in her hometown covering stories that matter to the community she cares about. She enjoys covering stories that impact your health, schools, and your commute to work. You can catch her anchoring DC News Now’s weekend morning newscasts from 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. on Saturdays, and on Sundays from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Randi graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism. During her college years, she worked as a reporter, anchor and producer at KOMU 8 News in Columbia, Missouri.
When Randi isn’t out covering the latest local news, she loves spending time with her dachshund, taking a trip to the beach or finding a new restaurant to try out.
Randi says meeting new people around the area is one of the best parts of this job. If you see her out and about, be sure to say hello.
She wants to hear your story ideas and shed light on what’s happening in your community. You can always send her an email or reach out to her on Twitter, @WDVMRandiB, or on her Facebook page, Randi Bass DC News Now.
