A sea of pink and green covered downtown Winchester for the 90th   Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival’s grand feature parade.

The five-hour parade is the capstone of the 10-day Apple Blossom Festival. Thousands of people lined up along the streets to watch colorful floats.

Performer Alisson Ledezma said this was her first time to attend an Apple Blossom Festival in eight years.

“There are a lot of people everywhere,” Ledezma said. “People are smiling. I am really am excited about this.”

The parade route stretched from Old Town Winchester to the Handley School area. Numerous marching bands and other dance teams performed throughout the parade.

Retired Pittsburg Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was the parade’s grand marshal.
