ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police said a car owner was facing a charge after someone stole his car with a child inside it.

The charge against Gregory Morris, 38, of Falls Church, Va. was Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

The Arlington County Police Department said Morris flagged down officers around 6 p.m. Sunday after someone took his parked, idling car. His child was inside it at the time.

Around 6:20 p.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. found the car in the 2200 block of Fairlawn Ave. SE. The child still was inside it and was not hurt. Whoever took the car had left the scene by the time police got there. Police still were looking for that person as of late Monday afternoon.
