Frederick County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking a suspect in a shooting that happened in Walkersville, Md. around 10:30 p.m. on December 5. 

According to the sheriff’s office, the deputies found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his thigh. The victim was shot outside his residence at the 8000 block of Treasure Avenue.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene after the shooting. The deputies say the shooting did not seem random, and the investigation is still ongoing. 

EMS units arrived and treated the victim at the scene, and who was then transported via helicopter to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The victim is currently in stable condition.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in obtaining any information that might lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect from this incident.
