Jonathan Hager Elementary held a ribbon cutting Tuesday morning to officially kick off the new school year and celebrate how smoothly things are going, so far.

In attendance were Washington County Public School staff, the building architects and state partners.

Students took the stand at the podium to tell their personal stories about how they’re enjoying their new elementary school.

Administration prides itself on the ability to provide students with the latest technology, including iPads for each student and collaboration rooms where they can converse with other students.

“We have had some great engaging learning already taking place. We wanted to share our school with them, while students were here so they could see what their efforts really did and how successful it’s been,” Assistant Principal of Jonathan Hager Elementary Danielle Dwinnells said.

Dwinnells said that one goal for the school is to make sure the parents and community are involved.
