It is National Boys and Girls Club Week, and the kids in Washington County have spent the day addressing the issue of bullying.

For the second day of BGC Week, Boys and Girls Club of Washington County brought in youth speaker, Tyree Sterling, to teach kids the reasons why bullying is bad, but also to show the kids the importance of stepping up and becoming more than just a bystander.

“Just some positive things to give to our kids so we know how to handle these things later in life if they are happening later or if they’re happening now, which a lot of is kind of happening now,” said Marquiela Gantt of Boys and Girls Club of Washington County.

The club plans on addressing healthy lifestyles and careers later in the week.
