WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — &pizza will give out thousands of free pizza to government workers and contractors in Washington, D.C., Virginia and more affected states if the government shuts down.

Any government worker or contractor can participate by texting #ShutDown to 200-03 and each day, &pizza will select winners at 11 a.m.

Participants will need to verify their government employment and provide a valid email address.
