ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Officials said they rescued two workers after they received a report that one was dangling from a cherry picker on Monday.

Arlington Fire & EMS said it received the call about the situation in the area of Langston Boulevard and North Culpepper Street around 2:06 p.m.

They said that they found one worker inside the lift and another suspended by a harness. Officials found in the investigation that a lift being used at a construction site made contact with an electrical wire.

The men both had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals. One of the workers “experienced an electric shock.”

Dominion Energy was called to the scene to assist, but they said it was not their employee or equipment.

The accident was still under investigation.
