FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WDVM) — Fairfax County Police are investigating a stabbing in Clifton that left one man dead Tuesday afternoon.

Around noon, authorities were dispatched to the 13000 block of Compton Road to investigate an incident where a person had been hit by a car. The pedestrian allegedly told police he had harmed someone in a home nearby.

“Officers entered the home and located an adult male, deceased from suspected stab wounds. The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Preliminarily, detectives believe that this is a domestic-related incident and that there’s no threat to public safety,” said Lieutenant Hudson Bull.

At this time, the police department isn’t sharing any other information, but said it will be releasing more details later.

Compton Road is temporarily closed between Ivakota Road and Clifton Forest Drive. Residents are advised to avoid this area.
