WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said there was an officer-involved shooting Friday night.
At about 8:30 p.m., police responded to the 3400 block of 13th Place in Southeast D.C. for the report of sounds of gunshots.
When police arrived at the scene, the suspect fired several shots at them. Three officers then returned fire.
The man left the scene. There were no injuries reported.
The MPD officers who returned fire have been placed on administrative leave.
The Body-worn camera footage is currently under review.
