Major Crimes Detectives in Montgomery County, Maryland have arrested a man related to the death of a 22-year-old. 

Police say Daniel Beckwitt, 27, has been arrested. He was arrested in Fairfax County, Virginia just after 6:30 p.m.

The crime happened in September 2017, when police officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the 5200 block of Danbury Road for a fire. The victim, Askia Khafra, was found in the basement of the home. According to Captain Paul Starks of the Montgomery County Police Department, Beckwitt is being charged with second degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.
