Maryland’s delegates and senators are back in Annapolis and off to a busy start.

The Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) held its winter conference on Jan. 11 to discuss priorities with legislators. The organization’s goal is to promote networking and encourage economic growth in the state. MEDA officials said they want to keep their members informed about what’s going on in the legislature.

“We’re all about educating our folks and why they need to pay attention to certain initiatives,” said Kim Clark, president of the MEDA.

The keynote speaker at the event was Maryland Secretary of Commerce Mike Gill.
