A national non-profit organization that was started by two Montgomery County firefighters has a new headquarters in Olney.
For 3 Sisters is a 501 (c)(3) that connects breast cancer patients to resources and financial aid so that they can focus on recovery.
The organization’s founder Marshall Moneymaker lost three of his sisters to breast cancer.
Marshall’s wife said the community came together to donate furniture, signs, paint and much more.
“Our For 3 Sisters family has been really supportive in their donations and their volunteer time to get this together, but the business community really just came out and wrapped their arms around us,” said the organization’s Executive Director Shannon Moneymaker.
Because of the new space, they’ll be able to add a support group for patients and survivors.
