Police are investigating a viral video of child pornography that has been circulating on social media.

Maryland State Police and the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force said they aware of the video being shared.

Police said the video shows an underage girl involved in a sex act, which has been shared across the country.

Multiple states are investigating the video to determine the origins and to identify the victim and suspect involved.

Police are asking those who may have come across the video to delete it, and not to share it. The investigation is ongoing.

“We’re trying to find out when this video was made, where this video was shot, and who was actually involved in this video,” said Ron Snyder, the Maryland State Police Spokesperson.

Anyone with information on the identity of the child or the suspect is asked to contact Maryland State Police.
