Retail store Staples recently announced that they will be closing nearly 70 stores this year.
The company reported a $548 million dollar loss and a 3 percent drop in sales for the fiscal fourth quarter, which just ended in January. Staples has stores in different parts of the four-state region, including Hagerstown, Chambersburg and Charles Town. Staples closed 48 stores last year, and over the last five years has shut down more than 300 locations.
The company did not specify when the closings will start or what specific stores will shutdown.
