For 39 weeks, the jackpot has been increasing and so far, the jackpot is at $110,000 with each ticket costing only $5.00. The jackpot increases when the 6 of hearts in not drawn. Officials with the fire house said that fundraising has always been difficult and this idea will help the fire house in more ways than one. There is a 60/40 spilt. 40 percent goes towards the fire company.
“We finance our own apparatus at the station,” said Tim Clarke, spokesperson. “It has really taken of, so for us it is one our biggest fundraiser and it grows weekly. Clearly, the interest increases all of the time as the money goes up.”
Drawings are held on Monday at 7 p.m. There was a drawing on Monday, October, 8, 2018 and the 6 of hearts was not drawn.
