Kent Carter, 1st Vice President of the NAACP Arlington Branch, was on vacation on Turks and Caicos when people opened fire on a vehicle in which he was a passenger, killing him and one other person. Police there believe gang members were responsible for the murders and injuring others.
An elementary school employee was hurt Tuesday morning after the employee tried to help “a student in crisis.”
